Building Resilient Schools
In today's ever-changing, fast-paced, world, it can be hard to know how to best help students prepare for their future. Of course they will need the basics of education, but beyond that, what skills, strategies and abilities will best prepare them for a future that is largely unknown?
While much of the future is unknowable, one thing is for sure, the future belongs to those who are able to adapt effectively to the many changes they face.
Teaching students how to be resilient in the face of adversity, may be the most IMPORTANT tool we can provide them to ensure they are able to thrive in these challenging times.
In Building Resilient Schools, students will learn:
- How to look at their "problems" in a different way that helps them find solutions.
- Cope with setbacks and missteps constructively
- How to build healthy self-esteem grounded in reality
- How to cast a vision of a future they are excited about
